Smartphones and tablets have become central to our daily lives, and are now used by over 66% of adults in the United Kingdom (UK). Apps and web platforms can help individuals to track their health and wellbeing; while emerging technologies are enabling us to communicate health data with others, for social, clinical and research purposes.

Therefore, you may be interested to attend an interactive panel discussion in Manchester on Thursday 27 April 2017 from 3.30 pm until 6.00 pm about how digital technologies can and will revolutionise our current healthcare system. Taking place in the Moseley Theatre of the Schuster Building at The University of Manchester, the event will be hosted by the North West Biotech Initiative, a professional non-profit student-led organisation aiming to provide a forum that encourages dialogue between young professionals, local businesses and industry leaders. You’ll be able to network with local business leaders, academics and students working in start-ups and companies at the frorefront of the field. Companies that will be present include: CityVerveMcCann Health, and Bassajamba. Take a look at the expert speaker biographies below, and get your ticket for free here! NWBI Schedule
