Friday 9th June 2017 will be a day awash with purple everywhere as we #WearPurpleForJIA. Encourage friends, family and colleagues to wear something purple, from socks to hats, and everything else in between! In doing so, you’re supporting the #WearPurpleForJIA 2017 campaign while raising awareness of juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

The #WearPurpleForJIA campaign, now in its third year, was launched by two mothers, Lynette and Sarah. This year, Rachel is supporting the campaign with Lynette which will raise much needed funds for JIA@NRAS, who support children with JIA and their families. Equally as important, the campaign will help to raise awareness about the condition and its effects on children and their families. #WearPurpleForJIA can be as simple as asking your school to support the day and let the children and staff come to school or nursery in purple ‘own clothes’. This can also be replicated in the workplace to help raise awareness of JIA in young people. Don’t forget to follow the #WearPurpleforJIA 2017 Facebook page and the JIA@NRAS Facebook page, and share your purple selfies on Friday! Wear Purple for JIA
