The 13th to 17th November 2017 is Anti-Bullying Week, when a spotlight is shone on bullying and all children, teachers, parents and citizens are called to take action against bullying throughout the year. This year, the theme is ‘All Different, All Equal’.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kt90a8RSisk&w=560&h=315] This Anti-Bullying Week, we need to:
  • Empower children and young people to celebrate what makes them, and others, unique;
  • Help children and young people to understand how important it is that every child feels valued and included in school, so that they can be themselves, without fear of bullying;
  • Encourage parents and carers to work with their school and talk to their children about bullying, difference and equality;
  • Enable teachers and other children’s workforce professionals to celebrate what makes us unique.
It’s everyone’s responsibility to take individual and collective action to prevent bullying, creating safe environments where children and young people can just be themselves! All Different All Equal There are lots of ways in which you can get involved this week:
  • Children can nominate their teacher, or another member of school staff for the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s annual Power for Good Award;
  • Download the official Anti-Bullying Week 2017 logos to share on your websites, social media accounts and newsletters;
  • Access the Alliance’s Anti-Bullying Week lesson and assemblies ideas and other useful resources;
  • Display the official Anti-Bullying Week 2017 poster in your classroom, office or community room;
  • Share your Anti-Bullying Week plans and activities online (@ABAonline) using the hashtags #AntiBullyingWeek #AllDifferentAllEqual;
  • Raise much needed funds for the work of the Anti-Bullying Alliance;
