NHS England are hosting an accredited course in February and March 2018 for patients, carers and members of the public involved in research and/or NHS organisations, titled ‘Understanding the Health and Social Care Environment (UHSCE)’.

By the end of the course, you will be able to recognise the key stakeholders in the health and social care environment, and understand how to influence them. You will also be better equipped to use appropriate tools and methods to influence health and social care. The course will be delivered online over a 12 week period. The total amount of study time is 30 hours. There will also be a full day face-to-face assessment session. To register your interest in this course, please email england.ppve-learning@nhs.net. The deadline for applications is Monday 15 January 2018! NHS England state that places are limited, and will be given on a first come first served basis (so get your emails sent!) Participants will be asked to pay a deposit to the course provider to secure a place. The deposit will then be refunded on completion of the course.
