RAiISE, a charity of which I am a trustee, is a registered stakeholder for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) social and emotional wellbeing in primary and secondary education guidelines, which are currently being developed. The guidelines take time to develop, and are expected to be published in May 2021.

NICE provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care in the UK. NICE guidelines are recommendations for health and care that are based on research that has previously been done. They set out the care and services suitable for most people with a specific condition or need, and people in particular circumstances or settings. In this case, for children and young people in primary and secondary school.

As part of this process, RAiISE will be attending a scoping workshop on Tuesday 26 March 2019 with a group of other stakeholders to inform the contents and direction of these new guidelines.

RAiISE wants to ensure that as many views from the community can be shared at this workshop, particularly from children, young people and families living with invisible illnesses. Therefore, please will you help us by answering a few questions? Everything is anonymous. The results will be used to prepare a summary report, and will inform RAiISE’s contributions at the workshop.
