The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) involves patients and members of the public in the work of the advisory committees that prioritise and recommend health and social care research applications for funding.

Two of the NIHR national coordinating centres, NIHR Central Commissioning Facility (CCF) and NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) are currently looking for members of the public to join one of the following national and regional committees.

Invention for Innovation (i4i) programme
Two to four members across three funding streams

Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) programme
Six members across three Regional funding committees: East of England (x2), London (x2) and West Midlands (x2)

Health Services and Delivery Research (HS&DR) programme
One member for the prioritisation committee
